NBA Western Conference Predictions for 2018-19 Season

The National Basketball Association is back in action, and the betting odds are released. The Western Conference is seeking their third straight NBA title after the Warriors have won for back to back seasons. Keep in mind, Houston was a win away from taking them out last season. Let’s take a look at the betting odds in the NBA Western Conference.

NBA Western Conference Predictions for 2018-19 Season

Golden State Warriors –

Once again, the Warriors are the heavy favorites to win the West. They return all of the key players from last year’s title team. Factor that in with the addition of DeMarcus Cousins, and it’s hard not to see the Warriors advancing to the NBA Finals. If they stay healthy, the Warriors will be hard to beat. The Warriors had four All-Stars a season ago. Could they actually have five this season with a healthy Cousins?

Houston Rockets – 5/1

The Rockets were a Chris Paul injury away from dethroning the Warriors. If James Harden plays at an MVP level again, Houston will be contending for the Western Conference Crown. Depth will be a question mark for the Rockets. However, they did add Carmelo Anthony, who will fill the 6th man role. The Rockets aren’t known for their defense, but if they can play enough defense, they have a shot at winning the West.

Los Angeles Lakers – 7/1

LeBron James has come to save the Lakers! Not only did the Lakers sign James to lead their young nucleus, but they also signed numerous veterans.

The Lakers are among the favorites to win the NBA Western Conference.

James wanted to make the “tough” so that they could use their physicality to deal with the more finesse Warriors and Rockets. LA will be much improved with James, but they just don’t have enough to win the West.

Oklahoma City Thunder – 25/1

The Big 3 of Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Carmelo Anthony didn’t work out as well as planned. Anthony was traded, and in a surprise move, George chose to re-sign with the Thunder. Russell Westbrook is a superstar, but he and George don’t have enough firepower to overcome the other teams in the West.

There is a look at the betting odds in the Western Conference. Best of luck with all your betting in the National Basketball Association all season long.
