With the season well underway, we are all curious to see how the season will wind down as well.  Recently, Westgate closed their books predicting win totals for each team.  The East was highlighted with the Celtics at 59 predicted wins and the Warriors at 62, which is why both are among the favorites at the latest NBA Championship Odds.

The Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors, and Houston Rockets all came in projected to win over 50 games as well, making these teams listed above your favorites to win the championship based on regular season performance.  With the season well underway, we are all curious to see how the season will wind down as well.  Recently, Westgate closed their books predicting win totals for each team.

We all know that regular season performance can be an indicator, but it is not the only factor in deciding a champion.  These records will decide to seat in the playoffs, but take a look at that Eastern Conference.  They are loaded.

Only two of the teams listed above come from the Western Conference.  Eight teams from each will get into the playoffs, so it is decidedly easier to play in the Western Conference and make the playoffs, but how does anyone expect to get past Houston and Golden State?  Likewise, once you get to the playoffs in the East, you still will likely have to face at least two of the three dominant teams, the Celtics, Raptors, and 76ers.

With that being said, here are the odds for each team, with no surprises at the top seeing familiar squads leading the way.

Updated 2019 NBA Championship Odds – December 20th

Golden State Warriors -150

No surprise here as this team has dominated the past few seasons in both the regular season and in the playoffs.  You’ve gotta wonder if these guys can stay together, how many championships can they achieve?

Toronto Raptors +850

In recent years, this team has dominated the regular season only to find themselves bounced early, but LeBron isn’t in the East to spoil their hopes this year.

Boston Celtics +1100

With Gordon Hayward healthy and LeBron out of the East, this team may be the most championship ready and dangerous team in the East.

The Celtics are one of the favorites at the latest NBA Championship Odds.

Houston Rockets +1100

With the reigning MVP and an offense that seemingly can score at will, the Rockets are one of the very best teams in the league, but can they stop anyone defensively?

Philadelphia 76ers +1200

Adding Jimmy Butler to this squad makes for a very interesting roster and a dangerously balanced team.  They can defend the rim, the perimeter, and they can score in a variety of creative ways.

Los Angeles Lakers +1800

This is where the “rest of the league” starts.  With LeBron and a weak Western Conference, the Lakers should make the playoffs, and with LeBron in the playoffs, teams do pretty darn well historically.

The below teams, in my opinion, although they have a shot to make the playoffs, their chances to make the Finals is slim to none.  With that being said, I’ve shown their odds to win it all as well.

  • Milwaukee Bucks +2000
  • Oklahoma City Thunder +2200
  • Utah Jazz +4500
  • Denver Nuggets +5000
  • New Orleans Pelicans +5000
  • Memphis Grizzlies +6000
  • Portland Trail Blazers +6000
  • San Antonio Spurs +6000
  • Charlotte Hornets +7000
  • Detroit Pistons +7000
  • Indiana Pacers +7000
  • Los Angeles Clippers +7000
  • Miami Heat +12500
  • Minnesota Timberwolves +12500
  • Orlando Magic +12500
  • Washington Wizards +12500
  • Dallas Mavericks +15000
  • Sacramento Kings +15000
  • Brooklyn Nets +20000
  • New York Knicks +50000
  • Chicago Bulls +60000
  • Atlanta Hawks +100000
  • Phoenix Suns +100000
  • Cleveland Cavaliers +200000
