Why should you bet on the Raptors?

The Hawks just fell at home in overtime to the Cleveland Cavaliers this past weekend in another matchup of division leaders. They may be struggling mentally to knock off the other elite teams in the league heading into the playoffs, even though they have been cleaning up against the lower-performing teams and moved past Miami in the Southeast standings. Toronto brings in a combination of a mean defense and two powerful scorers in DeMar DeRozan (26 points against Charlotte) and Kyle Lowry (21). The Hawks will have both of those elements to deal with in a tough matchup.

Why should you put your money on Atlanta?

Atlanta had dropped two straight before knocking off Phoenix on Tuesday. They seemed to snap out of their funk about midway through the third quarter, as a 13-point deficit would become a 13-point advantage by the edge of the game. They embarked on a 47-17 run that took the game out of the Suns’ hands, finally looking like the third-best team in the East. They could continue that solid play on both ends of the floor when the Raptors come to town.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

Toronto is playing at a higher level than Atlanta right now, and I see the Raptors imposing their will in this one. I’m predicting a Toronto win, 104-98.
