The eighth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers tangle with top seed Golden State in Game 2 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series on Wednesday night. The Warriors pulled away in the fourth period of Game 1, sealing a 121-109 win. They head into this matchup as NBA lines favorites. Let’s see if Portland could have an edge against Golden State.

Portland at Golden State Game #2 NBA Playoffs Betting Pick & Lines

When: Wednesday, April 19, 2017, 10:30pm ET Where: Oracle Arena, Oakland TV: TNT, NSBA, KGW Radio: Portland / Golden State Stream Option: NBA.tv NBA Odds: Golden State at -15

Why should you bet on the Trail Blazers?

C.J. McCollum put up a career high 41 points, and Damian Lillard had 34 points — and the Warriors still won by 12. The good news for Portland is that they got plenty of open looks and opportunities to score. They had the game tied at halftime and then again at the end of the hird period. If you like Portland to pull off the upset in Game 2, though, then you see them putting up more of a defensive effort than they mustered. It will be tough without Jusuf Nurkic in the middle to slow down Golden State’s penetration, but one thing the Trail Blazers have shown all season is the ability to get gritty when their backs are against the wall.

Why should you put your money on the Warriors?

People who were worried about how Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant would mesh in the postseason should feel a lot better, after Curry put up 29 and Durant put up 32 points (and grabbed 10 rebounds) in his first playoff game in a Golden State uniform. The real story of the night, though, was Draymond Green, who had 19 points, 12 boards, 9 assists, 5 blocks and 3 steals, taking advantage of all the attention that the Trail Blazers had to pay to Durant and Curry when they were on the floor. The emergence of Green makes the Warriors an even scarier playoff opponent than they already were.

Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like the intense effort that Portland brings, and there are few scoring duos better than McCollum and Lillard. However, I don’t see them getting by the Warrior juggernaut on the road. I predict a final score of Golden State 118, Portland 110.
