On Tuesday night, the Phoenix Suns visit the Atlanta Hawks in NBA online betting action. The Suns (20-57) are in fourth place in the Pacific Division and just lost at home to the Utah Jazz, 101-86. The Hawks (45-32) are in first place in the Southeast Division and just fell on Friday at home in overtime to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 110-108.

Why should you bet on the Suns?

Let’s face it — these two teams are playing on two different planets. The Hawks have gone on a run to pass the Miami Heat and take the lead in the Southeast Division. The Suns, on the other hand, don’t even play much in the way of basic defense. Gordon Hayward had 22 points in the Jazz win over Phoenix, but he was just one of FIVE Jazz players in double figures. Mirza Teletovic did post 24 for the Suns, along with Tyson Chandler’s 21 points and 18 boards, but I still wouldn’t pick the Suns unless I had at least a 10- or 12-point line.

Why should you put your money on Atlanta?

A lot of teams have lost close games to the Cleveland Cavaliers this year, so don’t penalize the Hawks too much for that. They came back from a 21-point first half deficit to send the game to the extra frame, so even though LeBron James ended up putting up 29 points, the game was still a solid effort from the Hawks. Al Horford went an uncharacteristic 0-for-6 from three (including a chance to win the game in overtime), and I see him making up for that big time against the Suns.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like the Hawks to shake off frustration from back-to-back losses at the hands of Toronto and Cleveland and administer a beating to the Suns. I’m predicting a 120-102 Hawks win.
