Oklahoma City at Dallas NBA Betting Guide
On Thursday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder head south on I-35 to take on the Mavericks in Dallas in Game 3 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series. The teams are tied at a game apiece in this series, as the Mavericks rebounded from a 38-point loss in Game 1 to take the second game, 85-84. The Thunder were hampered in large part by Kevin Durant’s 7 for 33 shooting performance. Find out the updated NBA online betting spread here.

Why should you bet on Oklahoma City?
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook create matchup problems that have frustrated the Mavericks all season long — that’s why the Thunder won all four regular season matchups between the two teams. Deron Williams is slowed even further by a sports hernia, so his minutes will be limited. It’s unlikely that Wesley Matthews can stick Durant on defense so closely for four more games in this series. So all the Thunder really need to do is take a deep breath and execute for a full 48 minutes in order to get this win.
Why should you put your money on the Mavericks?
The Oklahoma City Thunder lost 14 games during the regular season when they were leading after three quarters. In Game 2, the Thunder did it again. There was no other team in the league that blew that many leads at the start of the fourth. Rick Carlisle is one of the cagiest coaches in the NBA, with the ability to turn problems on the bench into as many wins as possible. In Game 2, the team was still missing Chandler Parsons and was also missing J.J. Barea, but the slow pace that the Mavericks dictated, as well as Wesley Matthews’ sticky defense on Durant, kept the Mavericks close, and they made the big plays down the stretch. If Oklahoma City is starting to doubt, the Mavericks could take advantage of that.
Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
I like the Thunder to find their stroke on offense and get past the Mavericks in this game. It won’t be the sort of blowout we saw in Game 1, but I’m predicting a 110-102 Oklahoma City victory.
