With the 2019-2020 NBA season on hold, and no return date in sight, it’s time to look at the team with the top record heading into the hiatus. That belonged to a team in the Eastern Conference, with the likely MVP of the league. Mike Budenholzer has been with the Bucks since 2018, and since that time, this team has continued its rise to one of the top teams in the league. The 2019-2020 version is certainly no different. Let’s take a look at the Milwaukee Bucks 2020 Season Analysis and NBA Odds.

Milwaukee Bucks 2020 Season Analysis

Bucks Incredible Scoring Team

The Milwaukee Bucks are the top ranked offense in all of the National Basketball Association. The Bucks are scoring more than 105 points per game. Part of that has to do with shooting the basketball so well. Milwaukee is second in the league, making just shy of 48% of their shots. The other part is they get easy shots – Milwaukee is the top rebounding team in all of the league.

The Greek Freak – Giannis Antetokounmpo is the frontrunner for the Most Valuable Player, with nearly 30 points per game, and another 13.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game. If that’s not enough – Kris Middleton is adding more than 21 points per game as well. Milwaukee certainly is an offensive force that will be tough to take down in a 7 game series.

Defense Getting it Done as Well

The Milwaukee Bucks are also one of the top defensive teams in the league. Antetokounmpo is a force in the lane, which has led to the top defensive rating in the league. The rating is at 101.8. The Bucks are not great with steals, but cleaning up the glass has been a strong suit for Milwaukee all season long.

While the Bucks lost their last three games before the break, before that Milwaukee allowed 97 in a win over the Raptors, 86 against the Thunder and just 85 in the win at Charlotte. There is no doubt that when the Bucks buckle up and play to the defensive level they know how to – they are an elite basketball team.

Betting Odds for Milwaukee Bucks

The betting odds to win the 2020 NBA Finals certainly change and change often throughout the season. But, when the final odds came out before the halt in play, the Bucks came in with the second best odds. The Los Angeles Lakers came in as the leader of the pack at +180, while the Milwaukee Bucks were second at +300.

The Bucks are odds on favorites to win the Eastern Conference. Toronto, Boston and a couple other teams feel like they have a chance, but when you get nearly even odds to win it – at +100 you certainly are a massive favorite. For teams to have to win four times in a seven game series seems very daunting.
