On Wednesday, the Miami Heat head north to take on the Milwaukee Bucks in NBA action. The Heat (37-26) are in first place in the Southeast Division and are coming off a home-and-home sweep with the Philadelphia 76ers, 112-102 in Philly and then 103-98 at home. The Bucks (26-38) are in fifth place in the Central Division and are coming off a 100-90 loss at Chicago, their second loss in a row. Get the latest NBA online betting lines for this game here.

Why should you put your money on the Heat?

The Bucks struggle mightily on the inside, having lost Zaza Pachulia to Dallas in the off-season via free agency and then having failed to replace him with anyone who can shut down the opposition’s big man. That means that the Heat’s Hassan Whiteside, already having a monster season, should be able to feast inside — if you can get a Whiteside double-double as a side bet, I’d put some money down on that as well. Without Carter-Williams, the Bucks don’t have much of a way to mount a dynamic offense, and the rejuvenation of Dwyane Wade has the Heat at their most multidimensional on offense since King James was still on South Beach.

Why should you bet on Milwaukee?

The only reason I would be on the Bucks was if I had a line of at least 8 or 10 to consider. In the Bucks’ loss to the Bulls, Chicago did not have one of their stars (Jimmy Butler, knee) at all, and Bobby Portis and Aaron Brooks had to leave the game with injuries. That meant that the Bulls had to rely heavily on Pau Gasol, and the Bucks couldn’t shut down the inside game at all, as Gasol had the ninth triple-double of his career. On the Bucks’ side of things, Michael Carter-Williams, the team’s talented point guard, will have season-ending hip surgery on Thursday, meaning that the point will be in the hands of 6-11 Giannis Antetokounmpo the rest of the way. The Bulls were able to handle him, and the Heat could as well.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like the Heat to win in Milwaukee, and win fairly easily. I’m picking them to win 108-94.
