Why should you bet on the Rockets?

I would only put money down on Houston if I can get at least 8 points. The Rockets are close to the Trail Blazers as far as their overall record, but the Trail Blazers have been red-hot lately, as they have finally found a lineup that clicks. The Rockets can always pour in the points, but they are not reliable when it comes to getting stops. They can play defense, but their wins usually come when they win the track meet. I don’t think that will happen at Portland, but I do think that Houston can keep it relatively close.

Why should you put your money on Portland?

It’s true that Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum have been lights out on offense in Portland, but the real story behind the rise of the Trail Blazers has been their defense. So yes, they put up 68 points on Golden State in the first half, but they’ve also been getting stops at key times, as in their win over the Nets on Tuesday. This is a team that can handle both the track-meet speed of small ball but also get a turnover or a stop in crunch time, making them a dangerous shadow for the Golden State Warriors — as long as Portland can get into the postseason.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like the Trail Blazers to keep their strong play going and win this game, 110-102.
