Why should you pick the Pistons?

You’ll want to check the latest injury reports before placing this bet, because the Pistons were down three players in that loss to Denver — starters Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Reggie Jackson and Ersan Ilysaova. The end result was a superior effort by the Nuggets as the Pistons lacked the energy to defend. Even so, Andre Drummond had a strong effort for the Pistons (15 points, 17 boards). If he had shot a little better (he went 7 for 22 in that game) the Pistons might have won anyway. During the break, the Piston starters used the time to rest and recuperate and should feature a full complement against the struggling Wizards and end up with a “W” in this one.

Why should you put your money on the Wizards?

After impressing people in the playoffs last year, the Wizards appear to be on their way to a lottery pick this season. John Wall had 15 points and 10 helpers, and Bradley Beal scored 19. The Wizards played hard in this loss, working within three points with 1:36 left. However, they have lacked the ability to finish in too many games this season. If the Pistons are still depleted, though, I think the Wizards have what it takes to come into Detroit and take this game, with their talent.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

My research shows that Detroit will have their starters back — but check the team injury reports before you place your bets just to be sure. As a result, I’m picking Detroit to win, 99-93.
