On Saturday night, the Indiana Pacers host the Chicago Bulls in NBA betting action. The Pacers (39-34) are in second place in the Central Division and just knocked off the Houston Rockets on Sunday night, 104-101. The Bulls (36-36) are in fourth place in the Central Division and just fell in Orlando on Saturday night, 111-89. They host the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night before heading across the state line to take on the Pacers on Tuesday.

Why should you bet on the Pacers?

Even though Houston did their best on offense (with James Harden posting 34 points), the Pacers were able to hold off one of the best offenses in the league, limiting them to 101 points. It helped that Paul George had 16 points in the first quarter, but it took solid work from Monta Ellis (23 points, including the basket that gave the Pacers the lead for good with 4:46 left in the fourth period) and Ian Mahinmi (19 points, including two baskets late in the fourth) to seal the win. The Pacers are a solid team in the halfcourt offense and on defense, and the Bulls are reeling right now.

Why should you put your money on Chicago?

Jimmy Butler has returned to the lineup, his knee woes a thing of the past at least for now, but the Chicago Bulls still need to find that urgency that they had about a week ago. They had just won three straight and then went into a home-and-home with the lowly Knicks, so things were looking up. However, the Knicks took both games and then the Bulls looked listless against the Magic. Right now, I don’t know that I would take the Bulls unless the spread was in double digits against the Pacers. Also, you’ll want to look at any injury notes from the Bulls’ Monday night tilt with the Hawks before placing any bets.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like the Pacers to knock off a Bulls team that is not playing well right now and will be playing the second half of a back-to-back. I’m picking Indiana to win, 102-94.
