Why should you bet on the Hornets?

Nicolas Batum has long earned notice for his offensive performance on the floor. However, his growth as a defensive player makes him a more believable dominant presence in playoff basketball. Against the Bucks, he made life miserable for Bucks point guard Giannis Antetokounmpo, and that set the tone for the Hornets’ rout of the host Bucks. Batum dropped 23 on Milwaukee in just the first half, and he limited Antetokounmpo to only 8 points and 2 assists in his 26 minutes on the court. If Batum can keep up the pressure, the 76ers should fall easily.

Why should you put your money on Philadelphia?

I would take the Sixers in this game if the line were at least six or seven points. Philadelphia got waxed in Golden State (like just about every other team that has visited Oracle Arena), but in Portland the night before, they played the Trail Blazers tough, holding on for a three-point loss. The 76ers rallied behind Ish Smith (20 points and 10 assists), and if he can continue that solid play from the point, the Sixers should make this a close game.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like Charlotte to leave the City of Brotherly Love with a win, but the Sixers will make it tough for them. I’m picking the Hornets to win, 104-101.
