On Tuesday, the Brooklyn Nets head north of the border to take on the Toronto Raptors in NBA online betting action. The Nets (18-45) are in fourth place in the Atlantic Division and just got thrashed in Minnesota, 132-118, on Saturday. The Raptors (41-20) are in first place in the Atlantic Division but just fell at home to Houston, 113-107, on Sunday night.

Why should you put your money on the Raptors?

Despite the fact that Houston just ended a franchise record 12-game winning streak for the Raptors, don’t overlook this contender in the East. Toronto went ice cold in the second half against Houston, and DeMar DeRozan had to focus more on defending James Harden, so he only scored 19 points, and the Raptors only scored 46 points in the second half. I would not expect the Raptors to have that poor a shooting performance two games in a row. Instead, I like them to fulfill my Angry Revenge Theory — a contender loses in an upset and then beats the stuffing out of their next opponent.

Why should you bet on Brooklyn?

I wouldn’t take Brooklyn straight up in this game by any means. However, I would consider taking them if I could get a line of 10 or 12 points. This is the same team that gave up 132 points to the MInnesota Timberwolves a few days ago. Yes, the Timberwolves were responding to having four starters benched in the second half in their prior loss, and yes, the Timberwolves sank 68.4 percent of their shots in the win, but the Nets needed to have a little more of a response on defense than what they put up in the big loss.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like Toronto to take Brooklyn to the woodshed in this game. I’m picking the Raptors to win, 110-98.
