On Tuesday night, the Atlanta Hawks host the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series. The Celtics beat the Hawks on Sunday, 104-95 in overtime, to even the series at two games apiece, despite the fact that Paul Millsap dropped 45 points on the Celtics.  Find the latest betting lines here.

Why should you bet on Boston?

Isaiah Thomas has become a playoff All-Star in these two games at TD Garden. In the Celtics’ Game 3 victory, he torched Atlanta for a career-high 42 points (and almost found himself suspended for taking a swing at Dennis Schroder of the Hawks), and in Game 4 he put up 28 more — including the final five points of the overtime session. Marcus Smart has come out of nowhere to become a force inside for Boston. He put up 20 for the Celtics in Game 4, including 11 in a row in the fourth period. While Millsap did have 45 points, he only had two baskets in the last nine minutes of the fourth period and no points in overtime, with Smart draped all over him.

Why should you put your money on the Hawks?

The Hawks had no trouble with Boston in the first two games of this series down in Atlanta. While the TD Garden audience is electrifying, they won’t be making the trip south. If the Hawks can return to that solid defense they’d been using all season long, then they should have a fairly easy time winning Game 5. The key is finding Millsap more good looks inside and waking up Al Horford, who didn’t do a whole lot for the Hawks’ cause in Boston.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like the Hawks to get the series back in control on their home court. Thomas won’t have that big crowd pumping him up. I’m predicting a 104-99 Atlanta win.
