The National Basketball Association regular season has come to an end. A lot like much of the regular season, it ended with a thrill. Several great games on the final day of the season, and now it’s time for the postseason. Let’s take a look at the Playoffs Picture, give the Matchups and our best NBA betting predictions for the first round, all based on the latest odds for you to cash in.

NBA Betting Predictions for 2018 Postseason

Eastern Conference

Washington Wizards at Toronto Raptors

The Washington Wizards have the firepower to beat teams in the Eastern Conference postseason. But, the way Toronto plays at home, they will pose quite a challenge for the Wizards. It appears Washington still has too many internal issues to win 4 postseason games. Our first round betting prediction is the Toronto Raptors in 5 games over the Washington Wizards.

Indiana Pacers at Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to get back to the NBA Finals for the fourth straight season. LeBron James would like to make it 8 in a row in the NBA Finals. The Pacers have been a huge surprise after trading away Paul George. Look for the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the series, but likely takes 6 games. Take Cleveland in 6 games.

Miami Heat at Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers have won 16 straight games. It’s hard to imagine they can continue this red-hot streak. Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic are going to cause problems for the 76ers in this series, but likely not enough for the offensive threat that the 76ers bring. In the end – Philadelphia wins this series in 7 games.

Milwaukee Bucks at Boston Celtics

The Greek Freak and the Milwaukee Bucks are back in the postseason, and they get a little bit of a break taking on Boston without Kyrie Irving. Brad Stevens is a coaching guru, and that’s the difference maker in this first-round series. The Boston Celtics win this series, but they go the distance and play in a 7 game series.

Western Conference

Minnesota Timberwolves at Houston Rockets

The Minnesota Timberwolves are an awfully dangerous 8 seed. The problem is – they are going against a historic Houston Rockets team. The Rockets won 65 games, and if James Harden, Chris Paul, and Clint Capela all play – they are nearly unbeatable. Minnesota will win a game or two in this series, but in the end, the Rockets move on. Take Houston in a 6 game series.

Utah Jazz at Oklahoma City Thunder

The Utah Jazz is a defensive-minded team, and the Oklahoma City Thunder love to score. That’s going to be a battle of wills. The Jazz and Thunder are familiar with each other, so look for plenty of back and forth games.

Donovan Mitchell is one of the reasons to consider the Jazz as one of your NBA Betting Picks during the postseason.

This seems to be a series where the home team holds serve the entire time. Take the Oklahoma City Thunder in 7 games over the Utah Jazz.

New Orleans Pelicans at Portland Trail Blazers

The fans in Portland are crazy over their Trail Blazers. Portland is a great home court advantage in the playoffs. New Orleans likely will become a little overwhelmed in this series. Anthony Davis is great. In fact, Davis should be considered in the MVP race. But, in the end – Portland wins this series. Take the Trail Blazers as your NBA Betting Pick in 5 games over the Pelicans.

San Antonio Spurs at Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are looking for their fourth straight trip to the NBA Finals. They are also seeking their third title. The Warriors appear to have caught a break in facing San Antonio in the first round. It’s tough to picture a scene where the Spurs have a chance to win this series. We give the Spurs one win here. Take the Warriors in a 5 game series over the Spurs.
