Top NBA Betting Picks of the Week – January 20th Edition

Los Angeles Lakers vs Boston Celtics

Another edition of one of the fiercest rivalries in the NBA is set to take place on Monday as the Boston Celtics play host to their cross country foe Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers currently have the best record in the Western Conference behind Lebron James and Anthony Davis. They have won nine of their last ten games coming into this contest.

The aforementioned duo, along with Dwight Howard will certainly have the advantage against the Celtics who are short handed at the center position. Enes Kanter and Daniel Theis will get the majority of playing time against the Lakers. Boston has dropped three straight games and six of their last nine so they will have their work cut out for them. The Lakers should be favored in this game despite being the road team and look for them to win this game in convincing fashion.

Los Angeles Clippers vs Dallas Mavericks

Two of the most exciting teams in the NBA this season will meet when the Dallas Mavericks play host to the Los Angeles Clippers. Both of these teams are near the top of the Western Conference standings in part because of the play of their star players. The Clippers have Kawhi Leonard who has six consecutive games with over 30 points a game and are also receiving stellar defense from Paul George and Pat Beverly over their last ten games where they have won seven of those contests.

The Clippers struggle on the road as they are just 11-9 on the season away from Staples Center. The Mavericks have 20 year old Luka Doncic who has this Dallas team on a four-game win streak. He has been one of the leading All Stars thanks to his 12 triple doubles this season alone. The Mavs will have their hands full but look for them to pull out a home win against one of the premier teams in the NBA.

Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors

The Eastern Conference has been a tightly contested battle all season as the 2-6 seeds are all only separated by two games. That just makes the contest between the 76ers and the Toronto Raptors that much more important when they meet on Wednesday. Philly has been without Joel Embiid but has not missed him very much as they have yet to lose without him in the lineup. Ben Simmons and Josh Richardson have rose to the occasion in his absence over the three game win streak they carry into this game.

The Raptors have won four of their last five games and appear to be dominating teams again with Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry forming one of the best tandems in the Eastern Conference. Toronto is a much better team when playing at home and Philly is 8-14 this season on the road. That trend should continue as the Raptors pushed further into the thick of the playoff race.
