Top NBA Betting Picks of the Week – December 23rd Edition

Utah Jazz vs Miami Heat

The Utah Jazz will travel to warmer weather as they take on the Heat in Miami. The Jazz are coming off of a five game winning streak. While the bulk of their wins have come at home this is a defensive minded team that can travel and play a team close. Reigning defensive player of the year Rudy Gobert is having another quality season and will need to show that prowess when Bam Adebayo who averages 15 points and 10 rebounds comes to town.

The matchup between Donovan Mitchell and Jimmy Butler will also be one to keep an eye on as they are two of the best shooting guards in the NBA and both are the leaders of their team. The Heat have won seven of ten but Utah will pose too big of a threat and take care of Miami.

Boston Celtics vs Toronto Raptors

The Christmas day games will kick off when the Celtics travel to play the Toronto Raptors. Boston has looked like one of the deeper teams in the NBA after three of their players rank in the top 30 of points per game totals. Kemba Walker has been a huge addition and will have an important defensive assignment when Fred Van Vleet lines up across from him.

Both teams will be without critical players as Pascal Siakam and Marcus Smart will miss the game with injuries. Siakam is the Raptors leader in nearly every category and his absence will be felt given the wing rotation of Boston.

This will be a great game between two of the most well coached teams but the Boston Celtics are just healthier and will put an end to the five game winning streak that the Raptors are currently enjoying.

Los Angeles Clippers vs Los Angeles Lakers

The basketball world seems as if it revolves around the city of Los Angeles this year and it will take center stage for the Clippers and the Lakers. Lebron James and Kawhi Leonard are two of the best players in the world and will most likely draw the attention of the opposing teams defense. Paul George and Anthony Davis are the second best players on each roster and will surely make themselves familiar.

Both teams have won seven of their last ten games and play well at the Staples Center as they only have lost twice all season there. The Clippers win games due to the depth of the roster and will move the ball in a hurry to create problems for the defense. The Lakers will look to James and Davis to carry the brunt of the load for them.

The battle for LA is the main attraction on Christmas day and for good reason as many believe this is a preview of the Western Conference Finals. The Clippers will be able to share the load and allow Patrick Beverly to make big defensive stops on the supporting Lakers which could decide the game.

In what should really be a tossup of a game, ill take the Clippers to defeat the Lakers due to the Beverly and Lou Williams combo.
