Top NBA Betting Picks of the Week – December 16th edition

Dallas Mavericks vs Milwaukee Bucks- Monday, December 16, 2019

When the Mavericks and the Bucks play on monday night it may be a game between potential MVP front runners as Giannis Antetoukompo and Luka Doncic square off for the first time this year. This game will be on NBA Tv in an effort to try and get international viewership up for this game featuring two international players.

The Mavs find themselves in third place of the western conference which is higher than many expected. Dallas seems to find comfort in the road games as their 12-1 record on the road would suggest. Both of these teams have some of the highest scoring offenses of the season.

Milwaukee was 6-3 the last time they lost and now sit comfortably in first place and the best record in the league at 24-3. The have the highest scoring offense with over 121 points a game and the best defender in the league to stop your best player in Giannis. The Bucks are stacked and while the Mavs are fun with Luka, Milwaukee will win this game.

Houston Rockets vs Los Angeles Clippers- Thursday, December 19, 2019

This matchup is a potential western conference finals preview as the Houston Rockets will look to knock off the Clippers in LA on thursday. The Rockets come limping into this game as they are 3-2 in their last five and lost back to back for the first time this season.

The offense led by James Harden has been terrific as they score 120.9 points per contest and don’t show signs of slowing down anytime soon. They continue to struggle with stopping teams on the defensive side of the ball though as Russel Westbrook has not shown the defensive prowess that he used to possess. They will have their hands full with the Clippers.

The Clippers are fresh off one of their best performances of the year when Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both got it going on the same night. They combined for 88 points in a win on the road, which gave the bench a much needed night of rest.

They have won seven of the last ten games but are near perfect at home with a 13-1 record. Luckily that is where the game will be played and LA should have the advantage as their defense will be able to slow down the people around James Harden.

Utah Jazz vs Atlanta Hawks- Thursday, December 19, 2019

Two of the best young guards in the NBA square off as Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz visit Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks. The Jazz should win this game on the road as the Hawks have the worst record in the league, but have played a string of contenders to close games over the past few weeks.

Utah will need a win as they started the season off with less than their best. They struggle to score which is the same problem that has plagued them for years. Back to back wins brings them back into the winning column after a four-game skid. The Jazz will win this game but if the spread is close then think about taking the upset minded Atlanta Hawks.
