NBA Betting: Must Bet 2021 Games in Week 13

Posted by Derrick Harper on March 15, 2021 in

Now that the NBA All Star Break has come and gone, and we’re over halfway through the season, the playoff push is on. We’re nearing the trade deadline, so we’ll see what teams think that they can make a run at the title, and which ones will be dumping salaries and starting to play for a higher draft pick.

There are some good games on the schedule this week. Let’s take a look at a couple of games that we think bettors can make some money against their NBA odds.

NBA 2021 Week 13 Games to Bet On

Utah Jazz @ Boston Celtics – Tuesday, March 16

After a hot streak where they won 20 out of 21 games, the Utah Jazz have come back down to earth. They’ve gone 5-5 in their last 10, and their lead in the West has shrunk to 2.5 games over the second place Phoenix Suns. Away from Utah, their record is 12-8 this season, so that doesn’t bode well for them as they travel across the country to Boston to take on the Celtics.

Boston has been a disappointment this season. Even though they’ve had injury and COVID issues to deal with, the Celtics have still not played up to their capabilities. When they’ve been on the floor, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have been spectacular. Kemba Walker missed a chunk of the season with a knee injury, and has yet to get back to his All Star form. Marcus Smart has missed significant time with a calf injury.

Neither of these teams are playing their best basketball at the moment. We’ll see which team can outlast the other one and get back on the right track.

Golden State Warriors @ Houston Rockets – Wednesday, March 17

What a season it has been for the Houston Rockets. James Harden got his wish and was traded, Eric Gordon is out for an extended period of time due to injury, PJ Tucker has asked for a trade, and the Rockets have lost 15 in a row. What a mess the Rockets are in, and things are probably going to get worse before they get better.

Things haven’t exactly been the greatest for the Golden State Warriors this season. After losing Klay Thompson to start the season, the Warriors have been decent, but they’re still not where they thought they would be with Thompson.

Steph Curry has been outstanding for the Warriors this season. He has had help at times, but at others he has been left to do most of the work. The Warriors have lost six of their last 10, and struggle on the road. You would think that they would be just fine against a team that has lost 15 in a row, but this is one where the Rockets could end their streak. Golden State struggles on the defensive end of the floor, so if Houston could get some shots to fall, this is a game where they could finally end their streak. Golden State will be favored, but if the spread is too large, it would be worth a shot to take a flyer on the Rockets in this one.
