The Atlanta Hawks are on the West Coast to take on the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. The Hawks (33-27) are in second place in the Southeast Division and are coming off an 87-76 home win over the Charlotte Hornets. The Warriors (53-5) are in first place in the Pacific Division and are coming off a 121-118 overtime win in Oklahoma City on Saturday night. Get the updated NBA online betting spread for this game here.

Why should you bet on the Hawks?

Kent Bazemore and Al Horford are keying the Atlanta attack right now. Against the Hornets, Horford scored 13 points and grabbed 16 boards. He gives the Hawks a bit of an advantage over Golden State, as one of their few Achilles heels is their inside game. However, as well as Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and the rest of the Warriors usually shoot, rebounding isn’t as much of an issue as it is with other teams. Last week, the Warriors beat Atlanta by 10 on the road, but the Hawks have a chance to take advantage of that interior vulnerability. If you can get a line over 8 or 10 points, I’d consider taking the Hawks in this one.

Why should you put your money on Golden State?

To say that Steph Curry is playing ridiculous basketball right now might be an understatement. He put the Warriors on his back on Saturday night and brought them back from a late deficit to send their game in Oklahoma City to overtime (although a boneheaded turnover by Kevin Durant late in the fourth quarter helped too). Then he knocked down a 35-foot shot with 0.6 seconds remaining in overtime to seal the win. He poured in 46 points, including an NBA-record-tying 12 three-pointers. At this point, I don’t think it matters who the Warriors are playing, because the Thunder are one of the best teams in the NBA — and they couldn’t even hold onto the win.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

The Warriors are playing unbelievable ball right now, keyed by Curry but also driven by a talented supporting cast. I like the Warriors to win, 115-101.
