Dana White has long been looking to break into the Chinese market. The country’s population and dedicated appreciation for martial arts make for a prime market for him and the UFC product to flourish. The fights will be broadcast, but since they are catering to the local market, all fights will occur on local time scheduling, so your local American broadcast times will appear to be off, but trust me, 3:30 AM is the right time to watch the fights live. There’s no bout order yet for some reason, so here’s the fight card we have for Saturday, alongside the respective betting odds, with the main card at 6:30 AM ET/3:30 AM PT and prelims at 3 AM ET/12 AM PT.
UFC Fight Night Beijing Betting Preview & Picks
Curtis Blaydes vs. Francis NgannouNgannou has had one of the worst 2018 for any fighter so he will be looking to make up for that with this fight. After an incredible 2015, 2016, and 2017, where he notched up one victory after the other – including a victory over Curtis Blaydes. Curtis Blaydes, on the other hand, will be out for revenge. When Blaydes first came to the UFC, his debut came against none other than Ngannou. He lost after a doctor stopped the fight following the second round. Since then he has won every fight he has been a part of.His loss against Ngannou remains the only blemish on an otherwise perfect mixed martial arts record. He is out to prove it was a fluke and nothing more. I’ll bet he’s successful in the fight and he will defeat Ngannou. Take Blaydes at -240.
Alistair Overeem vs. Sergey PavlovichOvereem is now ranked as the number 6 UFC Heavyweight on the roster. A win here is critical for him, and any title hopes he may have for the near future. His opponent, Sergey Pavlovich, is a newcomer to the Octagon, but not a fighter we should be looking past. He is undefeated through his first 12 fights. Despite that – Overeem wins this match. Take him -120!
Song Yadong vs. Vince MoralesYadong was supposed to have faced Frankie Saenz at the event, an injury led to him pulling out. Morales hasn’t had the best of luck lately, losing his fight against Domingo Pilarte in the second round due to being locked in a Rear Naked Choke.A win at Bellator 205, however, seems to have changed his fate. Yadong is riding a recent streak of wins, so I’ll put my money on him to take down the newcomer.I’ll even guess that the fight ends in submission and won’t go out of the third round. Yadong will look to dominate in front of a home crowd while in China. Yadong is as high as -350, but some places you can get him at -310. Take Yadong in this match.
