Bellator’s 247 event will be taking place soon, and it is packed with excellent fights. This card will be the second out of three events as part of Bellator’s Italian tripleheader. The main event was to feature a welterweight showdown between Paul Daley and Derek Anderson, but an illness has sidelined that event. Also, an additional big fight features middleweights Norbert Novenyi and Laid Zerhouni. The event will take place at 4 pm ET on Thursday from Allianz Cloud Milan in Italy. Let’s take a closer look at some of the bouts so you can make your bets against their Bellator odds.

Bellator 247 Betting Preview

Main Event Cancelled

As mentioned earlier, Paul Daley and Derek Anderson were slated to fight in the main card, but as of Wednesday morning Daley was taken ill and the fight was canceled. That’s a big loss, as it was projected to be a great fight full of two very tough fighters. But, the event in Italy still goes and moves Norbert Novenyi and Laid Zerhouni as the biggest fight of the card:

Co-Main Event Breakdown

Norbert Novenyi (4-0-0) is looking to put on a show for this matchup. His fighting resume shows that he has three wins by submission and one by decision.

Novenyi is currently undefeated in his professional fighting career. His most recent battle a year ago came against Will Fleury in a well-fought decision victory.

Laid Zerhouni (7-5-0) will be making his Bellator debut in this matchup. His fighting resume shows that he has five wins by submission, one by knockout, and one by decision.

His most recent fight, although roughly a year ago, was won against Souhaib Dahmani. This battle was a first-round submission victory for him.

Odds For This Event

The market for these odds has not been released yet. Once they are released, they are subject to any changes.

Potential Winning Pick

These fighters are an interesting matchup since they are both still new to Bellator and their fighting careers. They are both excellent wrestlers and have shown they are not afraid of the ground game.

This matchup slightly leans towards Novenyi. I like the way he was able to hold his own against Fleury in a decision win where he did not have to rely on his ground game.

Novenyi wins via decision.

Two Fights to Watch on Bellator 247 Card

  • Jade Jorano Vs Monika Tochlikova

This will be interesting to see, as it is the first professional fight for both of these ladies. While neither weigh much more than 100lbs, they both are full of grit and toughness. It’s hard for handicappers to come up with a great betting line for this one, with being their first.

  • Lewis Long Vs Giovanni Melillo

Long standing at 5’10, and weighing 170lbs from Wales comes in as the slight underdog. He will face the tough Giovanni Melillo, from Italy. Melillo has the advantage of staying in his home country, and seems to have the skills to be able to withstand anything Lewis Long brings at home. Betting this one seems to be one sides despite how close they are.
