Why should you bet on Washington?

Even though Bryce Harper is mired in a 2-for-22 slump (11 K), the Nationals are scoring in bunches. Every now and then teams will give up big ninth-inning leads, as they did when the Royals scored three in the ninth off closer Jonathan Papelbon to get the win, but the Nationals just need to bounce back and approach Wednesday’s game the same way. After all, while Harper isn’t doing so well right now, he became the fourth player ever to get an MVP trophy and then take Player of the Month to open the next season. The other three are Albert Pujols, Barry Bonds and Roberto Clemente, so that’s a strong group to join.

Why should you put your money on the Cubs?

The Cubs will be starting Kyle Hendricks, who kept the Brewers off the scoreboard and limited them to two hits in five innings in his last start, coming out for a pinch hitter when the Cubs needed some offense. No member of the Nationals with more than two career at-bats against Hendricks is hitting over .167 against him, so he has done well to this point against their lineup. The Cubs almost seem like they are on autopilot on offense, as Kris Bryant keeps grinding out hits (he had three on Tuesday against the Bucs)

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

The Cubs are raking, and Hendricks has been pitching fairly well.
