The New York Yankees (34-23) host the Baltimore Orioles (31-27) in the second game of their weekend series on Saturday night. The Yankees took two of three from the Boston Red Sox at home during the week, including a 9-1 win on Wednesday. The Orioles dropped a 6-1 makeup game on Thursday night in Washington after sweeping a two-game set from Pittsburgh during the week.

Baltimore at NY Yankees Saturday MLB Betting Analysis & Tips

When: Saturday, June 10, 2017, 7:15pm ET
Where: Yankee Stadium, The Bronx, NY
Radio: Baltimore / New York
Live Stream:
Pitching Matchup: Chris Tillman (1-3, 5.59 ERA) (BAL) vs Luis Severino (4-2, 2.90 ERA) (NY)

Why should you bet on the Orioles?

The Orioles could have a tough night ahead of them with Chris Tillman on the mound. He hasn’t won a game for the Orioles since May 7 — five consecutive starts without a win. He continues to try and build stamina after spending the first month of the 2017 campaign on the disabled list. However, Mark Trumbo (.400 lifetime average, 2 HR, 3 RBI) and Manny Machado (3 HR, 5 RBI) have hit well against Yankees’ starter Luis Severino. So if they can jump on him early, they have a chance to make up a little ground in the American League East race on Saturday.

Why should you put your money on the Yankees?

Severino has turned in three consecutive quality starts, including a May 30 win over the Orioles down in Baltimore. In his last start, he went seven innings and permitted just two runs against the Toronto Blue Jays. Several of the Yankees have hit well against Tillman, including Didi Gregorius (.500, 2 RBI), Matt Holliday (.600, 2 HR, 2 RBI) and Ronald Torreyes (.500). If the Yankees continue their hot offensive trend as of late, they should be able to breeze to a win on Saturday.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

The Yankees are one of the hottest teams in the American League right now, and they get to take on an Orioles team that isn’t pitching one of their better starters on Saturday. I predict a 7-4 win for New York.
