The American League is going to be interesting, with teams chasing the defending World Series Houston Astros. But, do not just pick the Astros when you are looking at some MLB games to bet on this season. Here is a look at some of the American League teams that look like Solid Picks for MLB Betting Fans.

American League Teams That Look like Solid Picks for MLB Betting Fans

Boston Red Sox

Just like in the National League – the American League has a team that is jumping out ahead of the rest of the pack. The Boston Red Sox have won 9 out of 10 games this season. The offense seems to be clicking early, and the starting pitching is anchored up front by guys like Chris Sale and David Price. This could be a fun season for the folks in Boston with their 2018 edition of the Red Sox. Boston came into the season at +1200 to win the World Series.

Houston Astros

Well – of course. The defending World Series Champions are back in style this season. The Astros may get a run for their money in the division, but when push comes to shove, they are the best team in the AL West. Houston can really smack the baseball around. If the pitching holds up, and notably the bullpen – this team could win 100+ games. Houston was the favorites to win the World Series at +425.

Los Angeles Angels

The Angels have been tickled to death with the start that their star Ohtani has brought to them. The Angels seem like a great bet to sail over the Vegas win total given to them at the start of the season. Los Angeles will, of course, be challenged by Houston, but a wildcard is a good spot for the Angels, with the ability to knock off anyone in a series.

The Angels are becoming a solid MLB Betting pick.

There are still lineup questions, but the offseason was kind to the Angels. Before the season started, you could get the Angels at +2500 to win the World Series.

Toronto Blue Jays

A little surprise out of the American League East – but Aaron Sanchez, Marcus Stroman and company seem to have a grasp on pitching to start the season. Can the Blue Jays keep pace with the Red Sox is the question, but so far, so good. We know the Blue Jays can hit, even though they have re-tooled some of their lineups. The Blue Jays were +3000 to win the World Series on Opening Day.
