Updated 2018 World Series Odds – October 12th

Now that we’re down to MLB’s Final Four, the Las Vegas Oddsmakers have set their 2018 World Series odds. Let’s take a look and analyze the latest odds.

Updated 2018 World Series Odds – October 12th

Houston Astros (+210, 2/1)

The oddsmakers have been impressed with Houston’s loaded pitching staff, along with their ALDS domination of Cleveland, to make them the favorites to win the World Series.

If George Springer continues to hit postseason homers, Alex Bregman stays hot, and the pitching stays dominant, it will be tough to beat the Astros. Justin Verlander gets a chance to go in Game 1, which for Houston they hope sets the tone. Can Houston go back to back? We will find out soon!

Boston Red Sox (+215, 9/4)

It looks like Vegas thinks that whoever comes out of the AL will win the World Series, as Boston is just a slight underdog to the Astros. Boston sports a powerful offense but has some pitching questions. Is Chris Sale fully healthy? Can David Price break out of his postseason slump?

If Boston can get quality pitching and their offense continues to hit, they could overtake the favored Astros. Boston has been overlooked, and being the underdog in this series is something that is not sitting well with the Red Sox.

Los Angeles Dodgers (+333, 3/1)

The Dodgers are the NL favorite to land in the World Series. Led by their starting pitching, the Dodgers are capable of beating anyone.

The Dodgers have good chances to win the 2018 World Series.

They’ll need someone other than Max Muncy and Manny Machado to step it up on the offensive side. The Dodgers barely made the postseason and needed a hot September to do so. But, the National League is going to regret having them in the dance, as they look to be playing their best baseball.

Milwaukee Brewers (+375, 4/1)

According to Vegas, the hottest team in baseball has the lowest chance to win the World Series. Christian Yelich, the probably NL MVP, has led the Brewers on an 11 game winning streak. If Lorenzo Cain and Mike Moustakas can get the bats going, the Brewers could be tough to eliminate.

Milwaukee has also had a dominant bullpen late in the season. The combination of Corey Knebel, Josh Hader, and Jeremy Jeffress have been nearly untouchable. If Milwaukee can get something out of their starters, they could pull off a couple of upsets and win the World Series.

When push comes to shove – we are betting the Boston Red Sox in the American League and the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League. Best of luck with all your 2018 World Series betting!
