It’s playoff time in MLB. Here are some betting odds and predictions for this year’s playoffs.

2018 MLB Postseason Betting Predictions

American League

In the American League, the Houston Astros, Boston Red Sox, and Cleveland Indians are the odds-on favorites to get to the World Series.

Boston Red Sox 7/2

Boston (7/2) coming off of a 108 win season, looks like the favorite. They’re loaded offensively, but can Sale, Price, and Porcello get the job done?

Houston Astros 7/2

The Houston Astros are the defending world champions. They were plagued by injuries but still managed to win 103 games. With 7/2 odds to win the World Series, they’ll need Justin Verlander, Gerrit Cole, Dallas Keuchel to carry them to victory.

Cleveland Indians 8/1

Cleveland at 8/1 will be led by Corey Kluber, Carlos Carrasco, and Trevor Bauer. The Tribe will need Jose Ramirez to regain his early season form. The addition of Josh Donaldson will help the offense. The bullpen has been shaky, but if Andrew Miller is healthy, look out.

Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees 12/1

The Oakland A’s and New York Yankees will play in the wild-card game. The A’s (12/1) are coming in hot. The Yankees will try to cool off the A’s with Luis Severino. The Yankees at 10/1, have tremendous power but lack the starting pitching.

We are going to go with a surprise pick here and go with the Cleveland Indians to represent the American League in the World Series.

National League

As for the National League, it’s up for grabs, as no team has stood out this season.

Milwaukee Brewers 14/1

The hottest team coming into the playoffs is the Milwaukee Brewers. At 14/1, the Brewers are looking to continue their torrid streak. Can Yelich carry the Brewers sub-par starters to an NL title? If they can get to the bullpen, Josh Hader and Jeremy Jeffress have been lights out for the Brew Crew.

Los Angeles Dodgers 7/1

Walker Buehler has turned into a future ace in the second half of the season for the Dodgers.

The Dodgers are one of the favorites for the 2018 MLB Postseason.

Put him with future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw and Hyun-Jin Ru, and the Dodgers can compete with anyone. Can the offense step it up, and is Kenley Jansen healthy? The Dodgers (7/1) want to get back to the Series again.

Atlanta Braves 12/1

Atlanta was a pleasant surprise this season. Led by Freddie Freeman and Ronald Acuna Jr., the Braves (12/1) were predicted to finish 4th in their division. They’ve come a long way, but they just don’t have enough to get to the World Series this year.

Chicago Cubs 8/1 + Colorado Rockies 16/1

The Cubs and Rockies will play in the Wild Card Game. The Cubs have had injury issues all year long and have a bullpen that has struggled as of late. If the Cubs offense can get it going, they can beat anyone. With 8/1 World Series Odds, they’ll need strong starting pitching and their bullpen to improve to move on. The Rockies (16/1) starting pitching will need to improve. Nolan Arenado has carried the Rockies offense this year. They just don’t have quite enough to get the job done this year.

The Brewers are playing great baseball right now, and are red-hot. If their starting pitching holds up, look for the Brewers to represent the National League in the World Series. Take the Brewers at 14/1 odds to win the World Series.
