The 2018 Belmont Stakes is slated to run this Saturday. It’s the third leg of the Triple Crown, which includes the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness. Justify is going into the race as the favorite, and also looking to win the final leg of the triple crown. It will be interesting to see what happens at this race, as many are saying the Preakness took a lot out of Justify, and the horse will struggle to take down the crown at Belmont. We shall only see. Here is a look at the 2018 Belmont Stakes info, TV schedule, entry list, and Odds.
2018 Belmont Stakes Info, TV Schedule, Entry List & Odds
Justify 4/5Mike Smith and Bob Baffert look to get the job done. It would be just the 13th time it has happened in US Horse Racing history. No horse came within 2.5 lengths of Justify until the Preakness Stakes. It’s going to take a heck of a run for any horse to take down Justify this weekend.
Hofburg 4/1Irad Ortiz and Bill Mott are ready to take down the Belmont Stakes. If any horse is going to do it – many think it has to be Hofburg. In 2018 at the Kentucky Derby – Hofburg got a ton of the buzz. That came after a second place finish at the Florida Derby. This horse has been doing it’s training at Saratoga and seems ready to roll.
Bravazo 7/1Luis Saez, Wayne Lukas, and the Calumet Farms are quite proud of this horse. Winning over $73,000 per start, this is a horse that continues to take down titles. Recently though, Bravazo struggled at the Louisiana Derby, which has many in the industry questioning whether now is the time or not.
Blended Citizen 14/1This is a very interesting horse with 10 starts and 3 wins in his career. The bay-colored horse is a tremendous closer, and Kyle Frey and his crew are ready to take down a title. Blended Citizen won on the dirt back on May 12 at Belmont Park. The would love to carry that over to a massive win at the Belmont Stakes.
Gronkowski 25/1You got to love a horse named Gronk. Not sure it’s time for a horse named after the tight end of the New England Patriots, but would certainly be quite the story.Jose Ortiz, the jockey has been around and won big races before. The Stalker race will have to get off to a good start because catching up with this field will not be easy.
