2018 BMW Championship Betting Preview

Nine million dollars is once again at stake in the 2018 BMW Championship. The world’s best golfers will once again take to the course at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. The field of seventy golfers will take to the course where once, Gary Player bested the likes of Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. They play for a chance to play in Paris in a field of only 30 golfers.

We may see some of the most compelling golf of the year this weekend for that very reason. Previous tournament winners include Marc Leishman, Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, Billy Horschel, and Zack Johnson, but only Nick Watney and Justin Rose have won at this specific course recently. Let’s take a look at the latest Golf Odds to win it all.

2018 BMW Championship Betting Preview

Brooks Koepka +1200

He has won two majors and is consistently finding himself in or around the top ten on the leaderboards. There is not a course that his game can’t lend itself to, but he will have to play great, precise approach shots here in order to stand a chance. He has some momentum coming in, but ultimately, I’m staying away here.

Tiger Woods +1800

We keep waiting, like most of the nation, for the time when Tiger can get all facets of his game clicking in the same round of golf. He has moments where the driver is looking nasty as ever, but the short game is off. Or he nearly puts enough together to win a tournament, but then comes in a dramatic second.

Tony Finau +2000

Basically, double the comments regarding DeChambeau. This guy is having a ridiculous late push to the season. He has had some remarkable finishes as of late, so let’s see if that translates into a top finish at the BMW.

Justin Rose +2500

Justin Rose is my odds-on favorite to win this event. He is an outstanding scrambling player, which bodes well for him in this event. Not only that, he is also riding into the contest with a fresh second place finish at the Dell Technologies. He looked sharp from the get-go in that one and that means a lot.

Consistent play coming into a place like this, where three of their four hardest holes are par-3 holes, is imperative. He has won on this course before as well. That shouldn’t be overlooked. Familiarity with a course can be the difference between two great golfers.

Bryson DeChambeau +3300

This guy is hotter than any golfer on the planet right now. He has won four PGA events and his confidence has got to be through the roof. He was named a Ryder cup captain earlier this week and I expect his game to reflect in anticipation.

Bryson DeChambeau is one of the favorites to win the 2018 BMW Championship.

Tiger needs this almost as much as we crave it as fans. We likely won’t get it here, but hey, it is fun to talk about him and I’ll be watching when he finally does win his next tournament.

Bubba Watson +8000

Bubba is a dark horse pick. He finished in seventh place last week after a great round. He has won three times this year and I think he could pull something out here and surprise a few of us.

Best of luck and enjoy the 2018 BMW Championship!
