NASCAR Cup Series: Toyota Owners 400 Betting Analysis
It’s hard to believe, but we’re already on to the ninth race of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series circuit. Race #9 will take place in the state of Virginia, as the Toyota Owners 400 will take place on Sunday at the Richmond Raceway.
Ironically enough, the cars to watch in this one are the Toyotas. A Toyota has won four of the last five and seven of the last ten races at the Richmond Speedway. With that being said, let’s take a look at some of the favorites to take home the checkered flag in this Sunday afternoon’s Toyota Owners 400. Let’s jump right into action so you can place your bets against their NASCAR odds.
NASCAR Cup Series – Toyota Owners 400 Betting Preview
Martin Truex Jr.
Martin Truex Jr. is the betting favorite to win this weekend. Truex won both the fall and spring races at Richmond in 2019. He has also finished in the top three in each of the last four races here. Truex has two wins on the season while finishing in the top three in three races. He’d love nothing more than to win his third race of the season on Sunday.
Even though things haven’t gone his way lately, Richmond is a track where Busch has seen a great deal of success throughout his career. He has started 30 races at the Richmond Raceway, and he has finished in the top five in 18 of them. With six career wins here, Busch knows how to tame Richmond. A win here this weekend could be the break he’s been looking for.
Hamlin has yet to win a race this season, but he’s sitting atop the NASCAR Cup Series standings. Much of that is due to the fact that he has finished in the top five in seven of the eight races ran this year. Hamlin has three wins at Richmond, and he has finished sixth or better in eight of his last ten starts here. Hamlin could end up with win #1 on the season this Sunday.
There was only one race run at Richmond last year, and that race was won by Keswlowski. He has seen his fair share of success here, as he has finished inside the top 10 in seven of his last nine starts here. Look for Keselowski to be at or near the top of the leaderboard when the checkered flag is waved.
Logano always enjoys his stops in Virginia. Last season, he took third at Richmond. He has finished third or better in two of his last three races at Richmond Raceway. In his last six races here, he has finished in the top five in five of them. Logano will be there at the end.
2021 has been fairly good to Harvick. Of the eight starts this season, he’s finished in the top 10 in six of them. Richmond has also been good to him throughout his career. He has six straight top 10 finishes here, so he knows how to race this track. Harvick would love to get a win here this weekend.
