One of the things that Italy is known for is that it is the home of one of the fastest sports cars in the world, the Ferrari. Team Ferrari hopes to do it’s country proud and win the Italian Grand Prix this weekend at Monza.

Team Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc claimed his first Formula One race last weekend in Belgium. Starting in the pole position, Leclerc held off Lewis Hamilton by less than one second. Team Ferrari would love nothing more than to claim it’s second race in a row in its home country.

The Italian Grand Prix will be held at the Autodomro Nazional Monza. This track has been holding Formula One races since 1950. This will be the 70th running of the Italian Grand Prix, with 69 of them being held at Monza. Monza is known for its famous corners, and it’s very fast straightaways.

Let’s preview some of the F1 Betting favorites to take the checkered flag in this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix.

2019 Italian Grand Prix Odds, Preview & Expert Prediction

Lewis Hamilton

Hamilton is the two time defending Italian Grand Prix champion. He has won five times at Monza, tying him with Michael Schumacher. With a win in Italy this weekend, Hamilton will not only surpass Schumacher, but it will also help him to extend his driver point standings lead. Hamilton was ever so close to winning last weekend’s race in Belgium. He’ll be looking to get back to the top step of the podium this weekend.

Charles Leclerc

Coming off of last weekend’s emotional victory in Belgium, Leclerc will be looking to earn career victory number two. Leclerc has finished on the podium six times this season, and is looking for his seventh time. If he can keep up the momentum from last week’s victory, Leclerc has a great shot at taking the checkered flag in Italy. He will be a crowd favorite as a member of Team Ferrari.

Max Verstappen

Verstappen had been on quite the run until last weekend in Belgium. A crash ended Verstappen’s day at the Belgian Grand Prix. Prior to that race, he had two wins and five podium finishes on the season. He currently sits in third place in the driver’s point standings. A good showing in Italy would be exactly what he needs after the disappointment of last weekend.

Sebastian Vettel

Vettel, a team Ferrari driver, will look to make his mark in Italy. He loves racing here, as he has won the Italian Grand Prix on three different occasions. Although he has been on the podium six times this year, he has yet to win a race. He would love nothing more than to drive his Ferrari to victory in Italy.

Valtteri Bottas

Bottas currently sits in second place in the driver standings behind Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton. Bottas has won two races this season and has been on the podium 10 times this season. He would love to win the Italian Grand Prix and gain some ground on his points-leading teammate.
