Martin Truex Jr.

Truex Jr. is no stranger to this race and these conditions. Just two years ago Truex Jr. was able to win his first cup championship. Last year though was a different story as he lost the lead in the final few laps and ended as the runner up.

Now a member of the Joe Gibbs racing team, he will try to make his way back into victory lane. Qualifying will be crucial to how he does in this race as the worst he has started here over the last few years is third.

Kyle Busch

Kyle will once again be competing heading into the final weekend after failing to qualify after his championship at this very track.

He was the last among the remaining to become eligible for the race after he finished second at the Phoenix Speedway. Busch is the veteran among the remaining racers and will hope to utilize the experience of his previous victory.

Denny Hamlin

Denny has possibly been the best at this track over the course of his career, despite being the only remaining racer to have never won a cup.

He has won this race twice and finished in the top 5 each of his last four times in Miami. Which is made all the more impressive as his starting spot is averaged at 19. Sunday, Hamlin will hope to put it all together as if he is able to win this time he will be the champion for the first time in his career after many years of disappointment.

Kevin Harvick

Harvick comes into this final showdown after he qualified with a win in Texas at the first playoff event. He finds his way back here after his victory in the 2014 cup series, which also happened to be at Homestead-Miami.

Harvick is known for his ability to make a push late in the race which is how he has earned the nickname “The Closer”.

The Ford EcoBoost 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship will be the final time in 2019 the drivers will be fastening their seat belts. For most it will be a familiar feat to accomplish, but the newcomers will hope to show that change is indeed a good thing.

You can expect both the nerves and excitement to be at all time highs as the champion will be crowned in a winner takes all final race. This surely will not disappoint.
