2019 Bank of America ROVAL 400 Odds, Preview & Prediction

Denny Hamlin

Based on points and barring a disaster, Hamlin should move on to the next round. Denny is a top notch driver when it comes to road courses. He has six top five finishes in his last nine road course races.

Erik Jones

After finishing fourth in last week’s race and virtually guaranteeing himself a spot in the next round, Jones failed the post race inspection, and now sits in last place in the playoff standings. If he wants to move on, he has to win this weekend. He has five top ten finishes in his last seven road course races, so he has a good shot of winning.

Clint Bowyer

Right now, Bowyer is on the outside looking in. He’s just four points out of qualifying for the next round, so he needs to have a great showing at the ROVAL. He has always raced well on road courses, and he has finished in the top five in four of his last seven.

Kyle Busch

Busch has already qualified for the next round, but he’s hungry for a victory. Busch loves running on road courses, as he has finished in the top 10 in nine of his last 11 road course races. He doesn’t have anything to lose, so look for him to be very aggressive.

Ryan Blaney

As of right now, Blaney would make the second round, but he really needs to run well this weekend to guarantee his spot. The defending Bank of America ROVAL 400 champion has always ran well here. He has five top 10 finishes in his last seven road courses. He needs to be strategic, as he needs to race well, but a careless mistake could cost him his spot in the next round.

Kurt Busch

Desperate times bring desperate measures, as Busch is on the outside looking in. He needs to make up 14 points, so he needs to race well this weekend. Busch hasn’t finished outside of the top 15 in his last 15 road races, so it’s possible that he can get himself into the next round. He will have to pull out all of the stops, so look for him to have a “take no prisoners” attitude on the track this weekend.
